"Dipsi's summer"

If one travels further down to the outer edge of the hidden garden, past the mountains and the luscious forest one would eventually come across the shining waves and sandy beach located at the edge of this place, it wasn’t a secret of course as this place was quite frequently visited by a multitude of people… today wasn’t really such a day as the beginning of the summer festival was about to start back at the plaza of the Hidden Garden, so most people at this moment were waiting for nightfall to go to it… Well, everyone except one person or rather a god.

Looking over towards the normally calm ocean, one could see waves bigger than normal form up and then break down before reaching the beach, sometimes even two waves crashing against each other in what would normally be against the laws of physics for such to be possible but if one paid attention to the waves far away. They would see a peculiar figure standing on top of them, seeming as if they were surfing the giant waves with a hearty laughter echoing through the distance.

Dipsi, the god of the Underwaters, was loudly laughing as he created giant waves after another one, making them crash and jumping from one onto the other as he glided across the surface of the water. It was quite a spectacle that would cause some worry for other more normal scarfoxes witnessing the scene, but Dipsi had gone out of his way to make sure that there was no one around… something he only really did because he had been pestered by his friends to pay more attention to others.

The god continued to glide across the surface of the ocean and with only a lift of a single finger a wave would produce from the area that he had pointed, excitedly Dipsi would immediately rush into the tunnel of the wave, surfing through it as he dipped one of his scarf arms into the water and touched a sea critter that was accompanying him while playing with the waves… Oh yeah, Dipsi wasn’t really the only one here, well that’s if you didn’t count the multiple different sea critters that were accompanying this god. Some of them jumped over the surface water as he passed nearby and others that followed behind him as they rode the waves alongside the god.

After riding the wave for a moment more, he would decide to start going upwards on the wave, momentarily launching himself into the air before coming back down and diving into the water though he would not resurface as the god would decide to further dive down as multiple sea creatures and other fishes dive down with him. Creating underwater currents and riding them along with the critters beside him and as he did so he would change the direction of the current upwards towards the surface of the water, heading up again but instead of break through the surface Dipsi would create a magical tunnel of water that hovered above the ocean and in the air then turned into a loop that went back down to the ocean once more. Following the newly created tunnel and once he would finally reach back down, Dipsi would stop and just float at the surface, looking up at the sun at the blue sky for a moment.

“Summer is finally starting again.” The god said out loud gazing up at the blue sky before he submerged himself back into the ocean, letting himself flow idly by the waves until a rather large creature swam below him and began to carry him. Dipsi of course wouldn’t be worried by this and just let it happen as he continued to talk to himself.

“Can’t wait to see what exciting things will happen this summer, it should be about the time to visit Fleur, I'm sure the lass misses me.” Dipsi laughed before he continued, “Talking about missing, no one would miss me more than Astral I’m sure, ahahaha… I should go visit him again at his library… or house I guess he calls it, I still don’t know what he finds in books to be so interesting!”

Dipsi would turn around and hop off the giant creature before he started to head towards the beach once.

“Talking of which, wasn’t there going to be a summer festival?” He asked himself looking up towards the surface and seeing the sun starting to set. “It should be starting pretty soon so I should head there, I bet a lot of fun things are going to happen there and I know a couple of people who for sure won’t miss such a big event like that!” Dipsi finally would reach the beach and with a quick use of their magic it was as if he had never been in the water, as the fabric of his body instantly became dry.

“Where was it going to be again…?” He wondered as he looked towards the forest of the Hidden Garden that bordered the beach.

“Ahhh!” With one of his hands turned into a fist he would hit his open palm, eventually remembering where the location for the festival would be, looking around he would search for the river that connected one of the lakes near the plaza to the ocean and would rush into it, creating a smaller wave on the river as he would start to ride it further into the forest and heading towards the center of it.

A loud joyful laughter as the god continued through the forest at a quick pace, other beings noticing the reckless presence of the good as he glided through the river, some intelligent enough to recognize the god and others creatures scared by the sight and going into hiding. Nothing that really mattered to Dipsi as he only had one goal in mind.

“This will be for sure a fun summer I can tell!” Expecting the unexpectable the god said in a jolly manner as he looked forwards to this new summer, what adventures would it bring? What pranks would he play on Astral? would he finally find a food that Mini didn’t enjoy? Maybe his luck with Fleur would increase!... Who knew really, the only thing left was for the summer to come and go and bring its many new adventures to everyone in the land.
