Pass It Along: January 5
It was a beautiful summer day. This particular Scarfox was on a vacation from the hustle of everyday life, something that they looked forward to every year. They took pride in their ability to have a great work life balance, and every single time they went on a vacation to unplug, the fruits of that labor paid off. This time, it was paying off with an amazing beachfront hotel property.
This Scarfox was a Mini, which was becoming a more and more common sight to see in this part of the Scarfox Realm. They were mostly orange, were a stout thing, and had a white belly and tail. Their extremities were the most orange and it faded from the sun bleached whites to the burnt oranges, like a sunset gradient.
They had dark blue fingers on the end of their proportionally longer flat arms, with pointed yellow claws that had pointed yellow claws on the tips that stood out like stars on the ocean. Their most prominent aspect, though, was the fact that they wore water wings wherever they went, along with a pair of stylish sunglasses that were almost framed by their floppy ears.
And much like the rest of them, their hair was also expertly styled, a coif of orange that danced over their forehead in delicate tresses. They were a well put together Scarfox and the way they lived their life accented that in almost every regard. There might have been hiccups in some places, but they were just as fallible as any other Scarfox.
Today, now that the sun was up and the beach was warming, they were going to go for a swim! Swimming was something they enjoyed a lot, and many many Scarfoxes loved to point out that it was a little funny that they wore water wings all the time and looked like a sunny beach and seemed to love swimming as well. As if there was something wrong with wearing your passions on your literal sleeves.
This never really bothered them, because when they were able to go and have fun for the first time in a while, they were thriving. They had their fancy umbrella and their beach towels and their basket of goodies, and that was what mattered to them in this moment at the very least.
When everything was said and done, they went to the water, dug their heels into the sand, and launched themselves into the wave, splashing and playing and swimming for as long as they had the energy to do so. The ocean was a little chilly, and the waves were far larger than them, but being able to ride through the waves was exhilarating.
They could have spent hours frolicking in the sea with the Crabbots and Blebnuys, but all good things had to come to an end eventually. They packed up their beach towel and umbrella, shook themselves as dry as they could, and returned to the hotel they had been staying in.
All in all, a good day.
