Pass It Along: January 2

He had a bit of a mischievous side, didn’t he? Well it was a little more correct to say that he had that side to him when he was in the mood for it. Honestly, it was more about having just a little bit of fun rather than doing any real harm. As far as Finnegan was concerned, if someone got seriously injured during a prank, then it wasn’t nearly as fun as it could have been.

It was the principle of the thing in his mind.

He was a pretty cute Scarfox. Equally blue and white and he was long like most Scarfoxes were. With long flat arms that wrapped around his neck like a particularly animated scarf. They were a light baby blue and had five thick fingers on each hand. His body was white with red spots on his belly and cheeks and his curious eyes were covered by a mop of hair that was darker blue than his arms. His tail was a long black and white striped lizard tail and he would often wave at people on his way about his business.

He looked friendly, but whether he was truly friendly was something that had to be discovered since it was supposed to be uncouth to judge a book by its cover. Everybody had the capability to go good after all. As well as evil, but those sorts of philosophical debates were best left for times where there was more room to explore the full breadth of what that would entail.

Today, Finnegan was on his way to the bakery. Bakeries were a good place to find people to play pranks on, but he was also ravenously hungry, and who didn’t like a solid loaf of freshly baked bread to snack on? That was his ultimate goal.

A fine bread loaf.

He was even going to take his two pets out to have some of the fresh loaf once it was paid for. He had a pair of Boogles named Honey and Nessa, and he loved them dearly. He was somewhat convinced that he had picked a bonded pair of Boogles since they didn’t like to be separated for long and insisted on going with Finnegan when he was traveling.

Once he got to the bakery, which had a huge sign that had a bread on it, Finnegan went up to the counter, where a grey Scarfox was working with a flour caked apron. He ordered a couple loaves of bread and once they were paid for, his two Boogles hopped around him excitedly, begging for treats.

He had to feed them outside, however, so he scooped the two Boogles up and skipped outside. Remember, a prank was still on the horizon, so he switched the breads out while Honey and Nessa weren’t looking. Once they got a mouth full of raisin bread, they hopped about angry, demanding the right bread. One of them even jumped on Finnegan’s head to try to knock him over to get to the other bread.

Thankfully, no bread or Boogles were harmed in the making of this memory. And the three of them enjoyed a fresh bread loaf in the early afternoon.
