Noir’s Journal, Excursion Five

Ah yes, another entry yet again, this seems to be a ritual. Go out, get an outfit and take it to Posiedon. I am not sure why I keep doing this, maybe Posiedon has some type of effect where it makes foxes want to bring him clothes all the time. Well it seems to be working, because this is the fourth time I have done this. Not that I am complaining or anything, seeing an actual god is amazing. But I hope he will still like the clothes we make or give out to him. This time Brii agreed to let me meet Endeavor before we went to Posiedon, for some reason I was nervous. Just from his name it gave me the chills, not to mention he is also blind. As usual I prepared a meal for me and Brii to eat  before we left. Instead of making an outfit for Poseidon we decided to simply give him a  flower Lei and a few of the same bracelets. It was small but nice I thought. Anyway after me and Brii ate we set out for yet another adventure. It is always nice to hang out with the little one though, she is full of joy and energy. Something I lack, of course Brii herself makes up for it. We headed out and Brii led the way to Endeavor, he was back up in his home apparently, but waiting at the bottom this time. Still, I was a little nervous for some odd reason, this fox seemed kind of eerie to me. But at the same time I usually don’t go out to meet new foxes. Anyway we went through the forest towards the mountains, again I saw some really nice looking plant life and small critters. I have always loved traversing through here because of that. Plus it gives me a lot more to analyze that what I have in my home. Brii also picked up some more flowers, she must be in love with those, I never see her without one. Well we made it out of the forest and immediately I saw a figure in the distance, it was still early in the morning, the sky was still a little dim. I could see a faint yellow glow, I knew that must be him. There was no one else around, it had to be. As we got closer I started to realize how tall he was, even taller than me! And I thought I was tall..suddenly I found myself standing right in front of him, Brii happily introduced me to Endeavor, he tilted his head upward for a moment and then immediately down at me. Could he somehow sense where I was? I guessed the eyes on his hands must have guided him, but I glanced at them only to find that their gaze wandered around, not really focusing on anything. He must be used to being blind, it was fascinating really. He greeted me in the most soothing voice, I wasn't expecting it at all, it was nice in a way. I was at ease then, but he often paused while speaking. All he asked me was who I was, what I do, questions such as those. I answered, and brought up some of the things I study, and my spells. He surprisingly knew a lot about the spells I was learning, levitation, invisibility, the list goes on. He apparently used spells like those when he was younger, but now that he has gotten older it’s not as prevalent. I also noticed that he had one of the most rarest features seen on a fox, Chompers..I wondered how he had obtained such a feature, because it meant he was hollow. Something we still don’t really know about here. I did not want to bother Endeavor about it, so I simply kept that thought to myself and brought up Posiedon. I asked if he would like to join us, now that we were all familiar with each other. We headed back through the forest and there we went to one of the food stands to get something to eat. Endeavor had not eaten anything for awhile, we went to his favorite fruit stand and got something there. We sat and talked for a good while, Brii spoke about how she picked all the flowers for Posiedon’s Lei, Endeavor smiled as he listened and so did I. It was nice to meet such a mysterious fox. Anyway, after we ate, we all got up and headed towards the coast, and immediately Brii went to the sand to play around in it, kicking it everywhere she tapped her foot. I laughed and fell to the sand in a sitting position, Endeavor walked out into the water and simply stared into the distance. And then Posiedon appeared, however this time he came from behind us, not from the water. Had he been out here looking for clothes already? Well, he said that he was just wandering around the city today, meeting all sorts of foxes, he said he had a fun time and was finally heading back home. Brii ran up to him excitedly with her flower lei in hand, Endeavor slowly walked up behind her. Poseidon bowed his head so that she could put the Lei on and then lifted his head back up. He smiled and thanked her for the small gift. It wasn’t much of a full blown outfit, but it was enough for Poseidon. He said it would go very well with the other treasures he has in his home. I was actually really happy he was still grateful for the items we gave, even though we kept running out of ideas for more beach outfits. Soon he went back into the water and the three of us stayed on the beach for awhile longer, Brii was still digging around in the sand, Endeavor was still enjoying the view, looking out into the sea. I could see his yellow eyes glowing, it was kind of cool actually. Well after that I just layed back into the sand and rested a while..
